Southern Precision Ltd

SPL was founded in 2000 by current MD Stephen Maddern, who learnt his trade as a toolmaker working for various companies including The Royal Small Arms Factory.

Originally set up on the West Wilts Industrial Estate, SPL consisted of 2 CNC machines and a manual Grinding machine.

Nearly 25 years of progress later the company now boasts a modern toolroom, with a collection of high quality machines ands a purpose built site in Westbury.

Over the years Southern Precision has stuck to the ethos that a good reputation in engineering is of the highest importance. To achieve this we emphasise a close relationship between customers, designers and engineers along with a great team of engineers ensuring the control of quality.

SPL is a family business with father and son (Stephen and Callum Maddern) now working at the company. The aim for the future is to grow a loyal base of customers which will enable us to continue to hire and train new engineers and apprentices.
